Punjab Election 2022: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will contest the assembly elections from two seats. Congress on Sunday released the third list of 8 candidates for the Punjab Assembly elections, according to which Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will also contest from Bhadaur constituency.
Congress had earlier announced his candidature from Chamkaur Sahib seat. In this way, Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi is trying his luck from two assembly seats. Channi, 58, who became chief minister for the first time, took over as chief minister in Punjab in September after the Congress sacked Captain Amarinder Singh.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal attacked the Punjab CM, saying that his party’s survey has revealed that Channi is going to lose from Chamkaur Sahib. 317 candidates, including Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann and state finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal, filed their nomination papers on Saturday. Punjab Chief Electoral Officer S. Karuna Raju said that 317 nomination papers were filed on Saturday and with this the total number of nominations filed so far has increased to 619.

At the same time, the Aam Aadmi Party is trying hard to capture power, while the alliance of Shiromani Akali Dal and BSP is also trying to do something new.
