After Priyanka Vadra’s promise, opposition parties have attacked her. Along with this, they have been asked to focus on the ASHA workers in their ruled states first.
How much honorarium do ASHA workers get in Congress ruled states?
Punjab:
There is a Congress government in Punjab since 2017. But till now ASHA workers got only commission. That is, an ASHA worker takes a woman or a pregnant woman to the hospital, a fixed commission was given by injection. Both the Chief Ministers Charanjit Singh Channi announced to give 2500 rupees every month to ASHA workers.
Chhattisgarh:
Till now, ASHA workers in Chhattisgarh used to get Rs 50 per day, which has been increased to 100 a few days ago. With this, the amount of other allowances has been doubled. Along with this, Rs 2000 per month is also given from the central government here. If everyone is taken together, then ASHA workers get four thousand rupees every month.
Rajasthan:
The worst condition of ASHA workers in the whole country is in Rajasthan. Here a worker gets only 2970 per month. At the same time, during the corona period, if an ASHA worker surveys the house of a corona infected, then only one rupee per house is given to him. At the same time, the sarees available every year for the last two years have also not been given.
It may be known that in the past, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has increased the honorarium given to ASHA workers every month from Rs 750 to Rs 1500. Along with this, the other allowances available have been doubled. After which, in total, ASHA workers will get six thousand rupees every month.
The number of ASHA workers in the whole of Uttar Pradesh is about 2.10 lakh. Of these, more than 1.56 lakh ASHA workers are posted in rural areas, while more than 60 thousand are in urban areas. If their family members are also included in this, then this number will increase to about five lakhs.
