Boston Police have recognized the girl killed in a capturing Saturday as Diva Ayuso, 32, of Sharon.
Ayuso was gunned down at Fermoy Heights in Dorchester. When police arrived on the scene, responding to a shot spotter activation at 8:46 p.m., she was discovered struggling a number of gunshot wounds. She was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
Ayuso is a state worker and was a member of the Massachusetts Environmental Police, based on a number of reviews.
In 2022, Ayuso was awarded the Commonwealth Citation for Outstanding Performance as a member of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, based on the state’s web site.
She was considered one of two individuals killed by gunfire Saturday evening.
The second occurred In Roxbury. Officers responded to a gunshot notification at 958 Tremont St. at 11:34 p.m., based on the division.
Two grownup male victims have been discovered on the scene and transported to native hospitals. One was pronounced lifeless, and the second is anticipated to recuperate, based on BPD.
No additional data has been launched in regards to the victims in that capturing.
“The last three weeks have been heartbreaking for Boston, with gun and knife violence taking too many lives and leaving too many families and friends with eternal grief,” DA Kevin Hayden mentioned in a press release Sunday morning. “As always, we ask for the public’s help in solving these crimes and in addressing the factors that lead to them.”
Police proceed to analyze each shootings and are asking the general public to share any related data.
