If the new labor law comes into force, then from the next financial year, the employees will have to work only 4 days in a week instead of 5 days. But, instead, the employee will have to work 12 hours a day. The Labor Ministry has made it clear that after the implementation of this new law, the provision of 48 hours of work in a week will continue. Due to this law, the salary coming in the hands of the employee can also be cut. However, the contribution to PF will increase.
In the new labor code, the allowances have been restricted to 50 percent. This will make the basic salary 50 percent of the total salary of the employees. According to experts, due to the new law, major changes will be seen in the salary and PF calculation of the employee in hand. If the monthly salary of an employee is 50 thousand, then his basic pay can be 25000 and the rest 25 thousand will go to allowances. In such a situation, if the basic salary of an employee increases, then his PF will be deducted more and the salary in his hands will decrease. Along with this, the contribution of the employer or the company will increase.
