Wardha. Many arguments are being made regarding the action of flavored tobacco and gutka case. During the police action, the accused who fled from the spot were not caught by the police. At the same time, in this case, the Food and Drugs Department has information about giving notice to a person resident of Anandnagar. On Wednesday afternoon, Ramnagar Police and Food and Drug Administration took joint action and caught scented tobacco and gutka along with the vehicle from Shantinagar premises.
At the same time, as both the departments did not take action, someone had informed the seniors about the negligence being taken in this matter. After this, after reprimanding the senior officers, action was started on Thursday evening. Surprise is being expressed due to both the departments not taking action even after catching a large quantity of gutka and flavored tobacco.
Lack of coordination between the two departments
Gutka and tobacco are being sold loudly in the city and district. Many traders and shopkeepers call goods from other places and stock them in their warehouses and sell them. This business has flourished well for the last two years. But the police and FDA are delaying in taking action. On Wednesday, even after getting a big cache, both the departments did not take appropriate action, due to which questions have started being raised on both the departments regarding this matter.
No action on trader’s warehouse
On Friday, the FDA gave information about giving notice to a person resident of Anandnagar, Ramnagar police. At the same time, two accused in this case talked about absconding. It is worth mentioning that Tim had reached the Bhamtipura campus to take action against the gutka seller, but this action was nominal. In reality, even after the said gutka trader has a warehouse in this premises, there is news of no action being taken on the warehouse.
