Wardha. In the Scheduled Caste Tribes Atrocities Restrictive Act, the victim is given financial assistance from 1 to 8 lakh 25 thousand rupees. The amount has been distributed, District Efficiency and Control Committee constituted for the implementation of the Act, District Magistrate Prerna Deshbhratar reviewed the meeting, Superintendent of Police Prashant Holkar, Additional Superintendent of Police Yashwant Solanke, Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare Prasad Kulkarni, District Women and Child Development officer Prashant Vidhete, non-government member Dharampal Taksande were present.
Financial help given from 1 to 8.25 lakh rupees
Under the Scheduled Castes Tribes Atrocities Prohibitory Act, in cases of murder, attempt to murder, atrocities, disobedience, serious wounds, abuse, etc., financial assistance is given to the victim after the report of the police department. Since the implementation of the above law, till now the cases of 688 victims in the district have been proved eligible for financial assistance. According to the seriousness of the case, financial assistance is provided from 1 lakh to 8 lakh 25 thousand rupees.
Decision pronounced in 782 cases out of 987
Under the law, 1 thousand 70 cases have been registered in the district, out of which some cases are under police investigation, while 987 cases are judicial, out of which judgment has been given in 782 cases, it is necessary to add caste certificate to the victim for financial assistance. In order to make the certificate available soon, the District Magistrate has given instructions to take the efficiency of the victim in the absence of a certificate in the absence of a certificate with the help of the Revenue Officer.
Help from pension to the families of 12 victims
In case of murder, according to section 46 of the Act, 8 lakh 25 thousand rupees are given to the relatives of the deceased person. Apart from this, 5 thousand rupees basic salary and dearness allowance is given to the relatives of the deceased as per the government rules. Under this, pension has been sanctioned to the families of 12 people who died in the murder case, which is given to the dependent wife for life and to the son till the age of 21 years.
