New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Goa on 19 December. PM Modi will launch a series of infrastructure projects during his one-day visit. Apart from this, he will also participate in a parade and fly-past of the Indian Navy.
ANI quoted the PMO as saying that, on the occasion of the anniversary of Goa Liberation, PM Modi will go on his one-day visit to Goa. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the state’s liberation from Portuguese rule of 451 years. During this, PM Modi will also honor freedom fighters and veterans of the armed forces. He participated in the military operation ‘Operation Vijay’ launched by India in 1961 to liberate Goa.

It is being told that about twelve Indian Navy ships will participate in the parade. This will be the first time that Goa will witness such an event. The famous Miramar beach in Panaji will witness a parade as well as a fly-past by the Prime Minister.
