Modi Kutch Gujarat Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Kutch on Tuesday to lay the foundation stone for many development projects in Gujarat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of a desalination plant, hybrid renewable energy park and a fully automated milk processing and packing plant in Kutch. Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also present in this program. The hybrid renewable energy park will be the largest such park in the country. Modi will also visit the white Rann of Kutch and later participate in a cultural program.
PM Modi said that today Kutch has taken a big step in both new age technology and new age economy. Whether it is the renewable energy park of Khavda, the demineralization plant of Mandvi and the foundation stone of the Sarhad Dehri automatic plant in Anjar, all three will write new dimensions in the development journey of Kutch.
Investment of Rs 1.5 lakh crore in Energy Park
The Prime Minister said that today Kutch is one of the fastest growing regions of the country. The connectivity here is getting better day by day. Modi said that the Khawara Renewable Energy Park will have the capacity to generate around 30,000 mogwat from solar and wind energy. There will be investment of about one and a half lakh crore rupees in this park. He said that due to this, how much of the land of the desert will be properly utilized, because of the windmills along the border, the border will be safer and better.
Modi said that this work will be equivalent to planting about 9 crore trees. This energy park will also contribute greatly in reducing per capita carbon emissions in India. This will provide employment opportunities to about one lakh people. Modi said that both farmers and industries will benefit greatly from this project. The biggest thing is that it will reduce pollution. The electricity that will be built in this park will help to stop 50 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
Farmers are being intimidated: Modi
PM Modi said that the agrarian reforms are completely the same, whose farmers’ organizations and opposition parties have also been demanding for years. The Government of India is committed to farmer welfare and we will continue to assure the farmers and resolve their concerns.
He said that those who are sitting in opposition today and are misleading the farmers, they were in favor of these agricultural reforms during their government. He said that a conspiracy is going on to confuse the farmers around Delhi. They are being scared that after the new agricultural reforms, the farmers’ land will be taken over by other people.
