According to the news of Geo News, an official of the Ministry of Health said that five lakh doses of Sinoform vaccine have been donated by China. Significantly, the situation in Corona in Pakistan is getting worse. Lockdown has been implemented in seven major cities of the country. On the other hand, some officials said that Islamabad has entered into a pact with Sinopharm. According to this agreement, Sinofarm will provide the vaccine to Pakistan in phases. He also informed that the first batch of vaccine will arrive in Pakistan today.
Pakistan will also buy vaccine from Chinese company Cancino
Officials said that Pakistan is in talks with another Chinese vaccine manufacturer, CanSino, to buy the vaccine so that the population of its 22 crore population can be vaccinated. Earlier this month, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi announced that China would give five lakh doses to Pakistan. He said that this vaccine will be applied to healthcare workers and senior citizens.
Pakistan will get vaccine under Kovacs as well
Currently, vaccines are being provided to healthcare workers and people above 60 years of age in Pakistan. Sinopharm, developed by China-based National Pharmaceutical Group, is 79 percent effective. At the same time, Pakistan signed an agreement with Cancino Bio last week about the vaccine. Islamabad is also going to get a vaccine under this. Apart from getting the vaccine from China, Pakistan is also going to get 1,71,60,000 vaccines under the Global Kovacs platform.
