Ranchi: AOICON 2022 organized by Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI) on the topic ‘Need for Research for Improving Health Facilities and Effective Treatment’ is a very important and useful conference for the Health Services of the State. 900 doctors of the country and the state are participating in this annual conference, I congratulate and convey my best wishes to all of you. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said this thing. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that all of you have continued your efforts even in this global pandemic, it is a commendable work. I am sure that the purpose for which this Annual Conference has been organized will be successful. The Chief Minister said the above things in his online address as the Chief Guest at the Annual Conference (AOICON 2022) organized by the Association of Otolaryngologists of India (AOI) today.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that the State Government is making continuous efforts to establish hospitals, medical colleges, nursing colleges, health education in Jharkhand. Success has been achieved on some plans in the health sector and some better action plans have also been proposed. The Chief Minister said that in the coming few years, the State Government is working with a commitment to make Jharkhand a distinct identity in the field of health. He said that since the initial phase of the global pandemic COVID-19, with limited resources, our government has worked to move forward. Sometimes it happens that the battle can be won with determination and determination, but the situation is not always the same. We need to normalize things only by bringing changes in the systems.
Established 6 medical colleges in the state
The Chief Minister said that at present 6 medical colleges are established in the state. Along with the functioning of all these medical colleges, the state government is preparing an action plan to build a big nursing center in the near future. Work is also being done for the strengthening of health services infrastructure in the state. Hemant Soren said that in the last few days, work has been done on a large scale by various institutions to connect the girls here with employment by employing them in various hospitals of the state and the country. Now the youths here should also get a chance in the field of nursing, preparations are being made for this. It is our priority to provide employment to the boys here as male nurses.

Investment prospects in the health sector under industry policy
The Chief Minister said that a better prospect and environment has been created by the State Government for investors to invest in the State through Industry Policy. Many institutions with industry policy are willing to invest in Jharkhand. Many institutions related to healthcare have expressed their willingness to invest here. The Chief Minister said that the state government also expects suggestions from all of you doctors regarding changes in healthcare. Taking the suggestions received by you seriously, the government will prepare a further action plan. He said that all of you doctors have gathered in this conference. Many of the research and information you have done has been exchanged amongst each other. Many presentations have also been put by you in the conference. Many people have also been treated for surgery and other treatments through this program. I am sure that this conference of ENT doctors will prove to be a milestone for the state in the times to come.
Corona infection is increasing rapidly
The Chief Minister said that the spread of corona infection has increased rapidly at present, due to which many people could not attend the venue and I also got a chance to meet you people online. The Chief Minister said that the role of the doctor in securing the life of a human being was important in the past, is now and will continue to be so. The Chief Minister said that in this global pandemic, we have lost so many doctors and nurses while saving lives. I pay my tributes to all the doctors, nurses and healthcare workers who have died in this pandemic.
Work being done to strengthen health services in remote rural areas
The Chief Minister said that our government is moving ahead keeping in mind the geographical environment and living conditions of the state of Jharkhand. Our priority is to strengthen health services in rural areas. An action plan is being prepared for how we can reach health services to the people living in remote rural areas. At present, work has been done to connect people to health service through motorbike ambulances, Mamta vehicles and government incentives in private vehicles etc. It is our endeavor to make the people of rural areas aware of health and bring them out of superstitious practices and challenges like scavenging.
