- District Magistrate Arora took stock meeting
Akola. So far one patient of Omicron has been found in the district. On that lines, the district administration is also alert. In this context, a review meeting was held today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Neema Arora. In this meeting, it was discussed to increase the pace of vaccination of the second dose and plan to vaccinate students in the age group of 15 to 18 from January 3. District Magistrate Neema Arora has given instructions for planning the vaccination of 95,000 beneficiaries of this age group in the district.
In this meeting, organized in the District Magistrate’s chamber, Dr. Subhash Pawar, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Dr. Meenakshi Gajbhiye, Dean of Government Medical College, Dr. Suresh Asole, District Health Officer, Superintendent of District Women’s Hospital Dr. Aarti Kulwal, Dr. Nitin Ambhore, Dr. Asmita Pathak, Dr. Manish Sharma, Dr. Anoop Chaudhary, Resident Deputy District Magistrate Sanjay Khadse, District Women and Child Development Officer Vilas Marsale, Education Officer Dr. Sucheta Patankar, Dr. Manisha Thug and other department heads were present.
COVID test should be done at full capacity in the district on Omicron. For this it is necessary to have test facility available in rural hospital, sub district hospital, primary hospital. Accordingly, planning was done to have all the facilities. And in the event of a possible wave in the district, arrangements for treatment of patients, oxygen if required, ventilators, over-efficiency department facilities etc. have been taken stock of pre-preparation.
Information has been given about the efforts being made to increase the speed of vaccination in the district. Information has also been given about the planning being done to vaccinate students, boys and girls in the age group of 15 to 18 (born before 2007) from 3rd January. According to this, there will be a total of 95,000 such beneficiaries in the district, 60,000 in rural parts and 35,000 in city parts.
Along with this, many students from outside villages come to the district for education. Due to which the District Magistrate Neema Arora has given instructions to plan to reach more than 1 lakh beneficiary. On the lines of Omicron, 395 persons have come from abroad in the district. Out of which 74 people have not come in contact yet. Due to which the police have also given instructions to search for them.
