Mumbai: Tension has increased in Maharashtra amid panic in many countries of the dangerous variant of Coronavirus, Omicron. A case of fresh Omicron has come to light in Dharavi area of Mumbai. In the case found from Dharavi area of Mumbai, NNI has given information quoting BMC that, the person had returned from Tanzania, he is currently hospitalized.

At the same time, amidst the panic of Omicron in the state, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has given relief information on Friday, saying that the new form of corona virus in Pune is Omicron. The investigation report of five out of seven patients found infected with the disease has now come negative. In a weekly review meeting on the status of COVID-19 in the district, the Minister told reporters that out of six patients found in Pimpri-Chinchwad Industrial Township and one patient from Pune city, the test report has come negative.
It is being told that so far the Omicron variant of Corona has knocked in more than 50 countries of the world. Apart from India, patients of this virus have been found in some Asian countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned of further spread of Omicron. WHO has described it as a variant of concern.
