- 32 rupees old iron reached 60 rupees

Nagpur, Inflation is already hitting people, but now things are getting more expensive between Russia and Ukraine war. Due to the disruption in the supply of raw materials due to this war, it is having a significant impact on the market. The bars which were running between Rs 58,000 to Rs 60,000 per tonne before the war, have now risen from Rs 19,500 per tonne to Rs 80,000 per tonne. All of a sudden the small shopkeepers have been blown away by such heat in the iron, while small and big construction work is also getting affected.
The dream of the middle class family to build their own house has now started feeling incomplete due to the rising iron prices. Customers have also disappeared from the market, those who cannot buy more expensive iron, they also pick up old iron from the market, but the prices of old iron are also hitting hard, which people get old iron for Rs 32 to 35 per kg. Yes, that too has now reached Rs 60 per kg.
many shops closed
Small shopkeepers could not bear the rising heat in the price of iron, due to which many shops have been closed. According to Dharamveer Sharma, president of the Grass Bazar Steel Association, there is no demand for iron in the market this year due to the increase in the price of house building materials. For the first time, the prices of bars have reached this level. Now in the coming time also its prices will decide the outcome of the war. In this, the prices of bars are not taking the name of stopping even after the continuous increase in the prices of coal.
Sellers are not only disappointed due to the decrease in sales, while the buyers are also worried about how high its price will go. At present, the price of 8 and 32 mm including GST is running at Rs 79,676 per tonne. At the same time, the price of 10, 12, 16, 20 and 25 mm is running from Rs 78,496 to Rs 78,500 per tonne. Last year, the prices of bars were running in the range of Rs 55,000 to Rs 60,000 per tonne. The main reason behind the increase in prices at that time was the rise in coal prices.
problems have increased
They say that the iron car which used to come in 10 lakhs earlier, has now doubled to Rs 20 lakhs. Due to this, the small shopkeepers are not able to get the goods. The problems have also increased due to the cost of goods. The cost of the drivers who brought the goods was Rs 800 earlier, it has increased to Rs 3,000 now. At the same time, the problem of theft of goods has also increased. Trader Dinesh Kukde says that due to the cost of iron, he has to sit empty for the whole day.
Iron would become so much more expensive, never thought. Like iron, cement is also running expensive. At present, its prices are running from Rs 360 to 380 per bag. At the same time, a 400 foot dumper of sand is coming for Rs 22,000. Its prices also keep on going up and down as per their wish. The same 22,000 dumper sometimes reaches Rs 28,000 as well. The traders as well as the people have to bear the brunt of inflation from all sides.
