He died of a heart attack on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the YCM Hospital of the Municipal Corporation. His ‘Omicron’ report came positive on Thursday night.
According to information received from Dr. Laxman Gophne, Assistant Health and Medical Officer, Municipal Corporation, 26 people have been infected with Omicron in Pimpri-Chinchwad city so far. Omicron is spreading rapidly in Africa and European countries. In view of its seriousness, the Central and State Governments have given instructions to take precautionary measures. The new variant Omicron is being tested by the Municipal Corporation.
