In such a situation, regarding the weekend lockdown in Mumbai, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar has said that, till now no decision has been taken on the weekend curfew. Many beds are currently available in the Jumbo COVID Center built in BKC, Mumbai.
According to ANI, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar told that 2500 beds are available in BKC Jumbo COVID19 Center. Till now there is not a single ICU patient in this COVID Center. Most of the patients are asymptomatic. For now the weekend lockdown will not be imposed. By the way, earlier on Friday, regarding the weekend curfew, the mayor had said that no decision has been taken on the weekend lockdown yet. Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will hold a review meeting on the situation in the state.

The Union Health Ministry said on Saturday that Maharashtra (Maharashtra Omicron Updates) reported the maximum number of 876 cases, followed by Delhi (Delhi Omicron Updates) with 513, Kerala 284, Rajasthan 291, Gujarat 204 and 121 cases have been reported in Tamil Nadu.
