New Delhi: The situation in the country continues to get serious again due to Omicron. So far 961 cases have been reported. Taking tough decisions, the state governments along with the central government have started imposing night curfew here. At the same time, in the midst of this growing infection, ICMR Director Balram Bhargava has given a big statement regarding the corona vaccine. He added that, “no vaccine can prevent infection, or reduce the severity of death and hospitalization.”
Speaking at the Health Ministry’s press briefing on Thursday, Bhargava said, “All COVID vaccines, whether from India, Israel, US, Europe, UK or China, are primarily disease-modifying. They do not prevent infection. The precautionary dose is mainly to minimize the severity of infection, hospitalization and death.”

At the same time, in the midst of the growing crisis of Corona virus, when health member Dr. VK Paul in NITI Aayog was questioned on the violation of COVID rules in political rallies. Responding to which he said, “It is within the jurisdiction of the Election Commission and this is not the right forum to raise this issue.”
