The Bruins taking part in poorly isn’t the one factor that’s completely different on NESN broadcasts over the past couple of video games.
Jack Edwards has been notably lacking from the published sales space, as play-by-play announcer Alex Faust stuffed in over the vacation weekend.
Amid Edwards’ absence, rumors have been flying about his future because the play-by-play voice for the Bruins. Edwards took to social media to deal with that hypothesis on Saturday evening.
“Happy Holidays! Contrary to misinformation (imagine that!), I am fit & healthy,” Edwards posted.
“I will not be in the booth for 2 more games: the Ottawa/Philly roady in January,” he added. “I look forward to calling years of Bruins games. I am enjoying a holiday week family vacation. First time in 17 years.”
Happy Holidays! Contrary to misinformation (think about that!), I’m match & wholesome. I cannot be within the sales space for two extra video games: the Ottawa/Philly roady in January.
I stay up for calling years of Bruins video games. I’m having fun with a vacation week household trip. First time in 17 years.— Jack Edwards (@ActualJackEdwards) December 24, 2023
Some Bruins followers have been lacking Edwards on the published, whereas others have been giving rave critiques for Faust — who was the play-by-play voice for the Los Angeles Kings.

“Alex Faust is so good, man,” one other consumer on X posted. “Really hope he’s in Boston for the long haul.”
“Alex Faust has been doing an exceptional job on PxP so far for the NESN broadcast,” Stanley Cup of Chowder posted. “If Jack ever decides to hang it up, he should be the first, second, third, and then on call for his successor.”
