Multiple passengers aboard an Orange Line prepare that burst into flames final week on a bridge over the Mystic River are claiming they have been injured of their makes an attempt to flee and have retained authorized illustration.
Morgan & Morgan, which calls itself America’s largest damage regulation agency, introduced Thursday that it has been retained by “multiple people” who have been passengers throughout the frightful ordeal that occurred on July 21.
“Morgan & Morgan has been retained by multiple people who were on the Orange Line train when the fire occurred, and who sustained injuries as they tried to escape,” agency attorneys John Morgan, Michael Harris and Ashly Eikelberg stated in an announcement. “Based on preliminary studies, the emergency doorways didn’t open, and there have been no bulletins about how passengers ought to proceed.
“We are investigating if there were certain safety measures that were not in place that could have prevented the injuries our clients sustained in the panic,” the assertion stated. “We will uncover the facts and hold those involved accountable for their potential actions or inactions.”
The MBTA declined touch upon the potential lawsuit.
