Lucknow : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday dedicated the first phase of his dream project in Varanasi, the grand Kashi-Viswanath Corridor. In this release held just before the assembly elections, although the Prime Minister avoided political rhetoric, but indirectly reminded of the atrocities of Aurangzeb, Syed Salar Masood, he referred to the charity of Raja Ranjit of Punjab. Linking Kashi Vishwanath with Punjab, the Prime Minister referred to Maharaja Ranjit’s past having covered the temple with gold and also reminded him of Aurangzeb’s terror and atrocities.
Several programs will continue for a month in Varanasi after the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor just before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Chief Ministers of 11 states and two Chief Ministers have also reached Varanasi on the occasion of Lokaparna. Many big leaders, entrepreneurs, scholars of the country will participate in various programs from Monday till January 14, Makar Sankranti.

After the launch, the Prime Minister met the workers and engineers who built the corridor and showered flowers on them. Modi also had food with him. The Lokaparna program was telecast live in about 30,000 temples across the country where prominent leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and many Union ministers were present. On the occasion of live telecast, Home Minister Amit Shah was present at Somnath temple in Gujarat and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia at Mahakal temple in Ujjain.

Referring to the glorious past of Kashi
Addressing the people on the occasion of the inauguration of the grand Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, the Prime Minister mentioned the glorious past of Kashi, the reconstruction of the temple and the present project. He said that to enhance the aura of the Kashi Vishwanath temple, Maharaja Ranjit Singh of Punjab had offered 23 mans of gold which was inlaid in the top of the temple. He said that terrorists attacked Kashi and tried to destroy it. The history of Aurangzeb’s atrocities, his terror is witness. One who tried to change civilization by sword, who tried to crush culture with fanaticism. Modi said that the soil of this country is different from the rest of the world. If Aurangzeb comes here, Shivaji also stands up. If any Salar Masood moves here, then brave warriors like King Suheldev make him feel the power of our unity. Referring to the spirituality of Kashi, the Prime Minister said that according to the Puranas, entering here, a person becomes free from all shackles. He said that here is the government of the one who has Damru in his hand.

PM Modi seeks resolution of cleanliness, creation and self-reliance
PM Modi said that he considers every Indian as God and asks them to resolve for cleanliness, innovation and self-reliance. He said that when Lord Buddha got realization in the land of Sarnath, then there were sages like Kabirdas for the betterment of the society. In Varanasi itself, Jagadguru Shankaracharya was inspired by the purity of Shri Domraja, as a result of which he tied the country in the thread of unity.
Mention of mythological and religious legends on the walls
It is worth noting that after the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor project, the temple built in just 5000 square feet in the narrow streets has now spread over five lakh square feet. Here the Varanasi Gallery has been built with a multipurpose hall in 375 square meters, on the inner walls of the building, mythological and religious stories have been mentioned. In the corridor itself, a city museum has been built in 1143 square meters, while Mumukshu Bhawan has been prepared for those who wish to die. Ancient Kashi will be seen in the City Museum. A tourist facilitation center spread over 1061 square meters has also been built on the way to reach Kashi-Viswanath temple directly from Ganga Ghat.
Vishwanath temple connected with Ganga Ghat
The Vedic Center is a unique experiment for religious-spiritual events, exhibitions in 986 sqm, while the Tourist Facilitation Center spread over 1061 sqm is an innovative experiment. In one part of this, the woods kept randomly here and there at Manikarnika Ghat will also be seen neatly. This hall will be for the use of the person visiting this ghat. This hall will prove to be of utmost importance to the local residents commercially. Not only will there be bael and rudraksh trees in the entire complex, the shade of Ashok, Neem and Kadamba will also be available. The most important thing is that earlier after taking bath from the Ganges Ghat, one had to come to the temple through narrow streets. Now Vishwanath temple has been connected with Ganga Ghat.
