In this regard, MLA Landge has issued a press release saying that 100 MVA capacity power transformer of 220 KV high voltage sub-station of Maha transmission company in Bhosari had failed. As a result, power supply to around 60,000 consumers, including domestic, commercial and industrial customers, has been disrupted in Bhosari and Akurdi. There is no electricity in many parts. Even after complaining about this to Mahavitaran administration, the problem is not getting resolved. Due to the increasing demand for electricity in the city, load management is not possible and alternate power supply is not available. The common citizens are suffering because of this.

Electricity transformer closed for many months
Mahatrans has three power transformers in the Gavalimatha area of Bhosari. The power transformer has been switched off for the last several months. The remaining two transformers supply power to a total of 26 power lines of MSEDCL. Another transformer broke down on Wednesday morning. Due to this the power supply of 10 power lines of MSEDCL came to a standstill. As a result, power supply to Bhosari MIDC S Block, T Block, Bhosari MIDC Complex as well as Nehru Nagar, Yashwant Nagar, Shanti Nagar, Bhosari Gaonthan, Indrayani Nagar, Chakrapani Basahat, Shastri Chowk, Bhosari area and Akurdi area was cut off. Due to the negligence of the administration, the common citizens are facing unnecessary problems.
Citizens will teach lesson to Mahavikas Aghadi government
MLA Mahesh Landge said that the problem of electricity in Pimpri-Chinchwad is increasing day by day. Despite repeated follow up with Ministry of Power, pending development works in respect of MSEDCL are not being resolved. The proposed works of power supply in Bhosari and Pimpri-Chinchwad under the Mahavikas Aghadi government have been stalled since 2019. Officials say that the department does not have enough money. Therefore, Pimpri-Chinchwadkar Mahavikas Aghadi will teach a lesson in the upcoming municipal elections.
