Bangalore. Karnataka Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K. s. Congress MLAs, demanding the sacking of Eshwarappa and registration of a case of sedition for his statement on the national flag, were held on Thursday by the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. The ongoing protest by Congress members was also seen in both the houses during the day. The uproar in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council continued for the second consecutive day on Thursday. Congress members stayed there even after the House was adjourned for the day.
Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri and former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa later held talks with Leader of Opposition and Congress Legislature Party leader Siddaramaiah in the assembly premises.
Earlier, addressing reporters outside the assembly, Siddaramaiah accused the BJP and the Sangh Parivar of disrespecting the national flag and said the Congress decided to hold the protest overnight to take the issue to a “logical end”. has done. Eshwarappa, however, said he would not resign.

Eshwarappa said there was no question of him resigning for any reason and he was a patriot who went to jail during the Emergency.
“Let them protest, I will not move,” he said. Shivakumar and accused him and his party of ‘misusing’ the national flag for protests.
Eshwarappa had recently claimed that the ‘saffron flag’ could become the national flag in future and could be hoisted on the ramparts of the Red Fort. However, he had said that the tricolor is now the national flag, and it should be respected by all.
As soon as the proceedings of the House began in the morning, Congress members came near the Speaker’s podium to express their protest. Congress members started raising slogans demanding action against Eshwarappa, calling him “anti-national”.
Despite repeated requests by Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, the Question Hour continued amid sloganeering by Congress members. After the Question Hour, the Speaker asked Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah to speak on the Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address, but he did not keep his word and continued to protest along with Congress MLAs.
