LOWELL — Two Lowell residents have been arraigned in Lowell District Court Monday on expenses of kidnapping a 37-year-old man, who was discovered useless within the pair’s residence in Centralville.
Samantha Perry, 36, and Michael Burke, 35, appeared in court docket earlier than Judge Daniel Crane round 12:30 p.m. The pair are alleged to be concerned in kidnapping the 37-year-old man, supposedly holding him hostage at their residence at 190 Coburn St.
Both Perry and Burke are being held pending a dangerousness listening to scheduled for Dec. 14.
According to a police report included with court docket paperwork, the 37-year-old was held in a “chest freezer” within the basement of the Coburn Street residence. The sufferer’s again was bruised and there was duct tape on his higher arms and chest, in line with the report.
The identification of the sufferer has not been confirmed, and is redacted from the police report. However, John Wayne Potter, 36, was reported lacking by Lowell Police on Dec. 1. Norkunas mentioned he’s unsure what the defendants’ relationship with the sufferer is, and he expects extra info to come back out at subsequent week’s listening to.
“Whether the hearing will be closed and whatnot next week, that I don’t know either,” he added.
