Mumbai: Mumbai’s first fully equipped Jumbo Covid Center with Oxygen Beds will soon be commissioned by BMC. In view of the possible threat of third wave, Jumbo Covid Center has been set up by MHADA in about 18,000 square meter area of Somaiya Trust at Chunabhatti. The center will have oxygen supply to all 1200 beds and will have an intensive care unit and a special unit for children.
On Friday, MP Rahul Shewale reviewed the works of the COVID Center to be built on the site of Somaiya Trust in Chunabhatti. MP Shewale said that the center set up by MHADA will be operational in the next 15 days and will play a vital role in the possible third wave of corona. MP Shewale was accompanied by Councilor Ramdas Kamble, Dean Dr. Sujata Pol, Additional Dean Ravi Kiran Gole, Executive Engineer Prashant Dhatrak, Executive Engineer Corporation, Namdev Talpe, officials of Somaiya Trust and other officers were present.
