Nashik: Under the Electric Vehicles scheme announced by the State Government, a large number of electric vehicles will be crowded in the city in future, but the battery charging system of the vehicles will be given to the Nashik Municipal Corporation. The state government has given consent to the electric vehicle policy for an eco-friendly environment. According to this, from April 1, electric vehicles will have to be purchased while buying vehicles in government, semi-government offices. With this, a large number of electric vehicles will increase in the city. Vehicles running on batteries require a charging station. For this the Municipal Corporation has also started its preparation. The responsibility of building charging stations in the premises of buildings having more than 25 flats has been entrusted to the builders. Along with this, charging stations will be prepared at the place of parking lots through Smart City Company.

Nashik Municipal Corporation will build charging stations on the principle of PP. For this, a survey has been directed to determine the place. The Municipal Corporation has surveyed and fixed 106 places for the charging station. A master plan will be prepared for the charging station. For this an expert committee will be appointed.
