Aurangabad : Giving relief to the citizens troubled by the rising fuel prices, the central government has started vigorous efforts for the use and sale of electric vehicles while manufacturing them. In these efforts, 250 citizens had registered with the Tata company to buy electric vehicles in the city.
In which 101 electric cars were distributed in the first lot in a program organized at Panchsitara Hotel in the city on Monday evening. Many women doctors, entrepreneurs, professors are included in the 101 electric car buyers. This is the first step with a view to take the historic Aurangabad city on the EV map by buying electric cars on such a large scale at the same time.

It is worth noting that two months ago, Marathwada Auto Cluster had started a campaign called Aurangabad Mission Green Mobility (AMGM). Under this campaign, 250 electric cars were booked by the city’s entrepreneurs, lawyers, doctors, professors and some citizens. In this, in the first phase, 101 cars were distributed on Monday in a program organized at Panch Sitara Hotel in the city. Aurangabad city has been recognized as an industrial production and automobile hub in the state.
AMGM campaign will prove to be a role model for other states
Expressing their views on the occasion, Passenger Vehicles of Tata Motors and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. MD, Shailesh Chandra said that the members of AMGM are taking initiatives to make Aurangabad city green, clean and pollution free, not just as a personal contribution. This campaign will prove to be a role model for other states as well. The city’s eminent entrepreneur Ulhas Gawli said that due to the increasing pollution in Aurangabad city, the National Green Arbitration had imposed some restrictions. To solve this, the government started the Aurangabad Mission Green Mobility Campaign considering that we should also take initiative along with taking measures. This campaign was started two months back with the aim of promoting and spreading about non-polluting electric cars. Within a short span of time the citizens of Aurangabad city gave a strong response. After the car in the first phase, it will be our endeavor to bring electric three wheelers, two wheelers, buses on the roads of Aurangabad.
60 electric buses will come soon in the city
Expressing his views in the program, Municipal Administrator Astik Kumar Pandey said that EV policy is being implemented by Smart City. Soon 60 new EV buses will be introduced in the city. EV cars for the employees and over 200 charging stations will be constructed in the city. Municipal administrator Astik Kumar Pandey, besides city CP Nikhil Gupta, CMIA organization president Shivprasad Jaju, CII president Prasad Kokil, entrepreneur Ram Bhogle, Mansingh Pawar, Rishi Bagla, Munish Sharma, Girdhar Sangeria, Ashish Garde, Prashant Deshpande , Sachin Mulay, Abhay Hanchanal, Manish Dhoot were prominently present.
