Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement: India and Britain have signed an agreement related to immigration, considered very important on Tuesday. Which will increase the work visa for Indians. The Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement will facilitate Indian and British youth to work and live in each other’s countries. Also, the process of sending illegal migrants back to their own country will be expedited. It has been described as one of the results related to the online summit held between the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday.

Along with this, those problems like ‘illegal migration’ will also be solved, which have remained between India and Britain for a long time. On this, Jaishankar said, “This will strengthen the contact between the two countries.”
System abuse will stop
At the same time, Preeti Patel said, ‘This historic agreement with our close partner India will give thousands of young people from UK and India an opportunity to learn about each other’s cultures, work and live there (India Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement). This agreement will also ensure that the British government can ask those who do not have the right to stay in Britain. And with this, those who misuse our system will also be screwed. For example, those who misuse the system include people like Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya. Those who are living there under the UK system by committing crimes in India.
Talented people will benefit
According to the UK Home Office, the agreement will work in a fair way for the British government and under the new scheme for immigration. It will attract better and talented people to come to the UK by legal route, prevent abuse of the UK system and through it will swiftly send back those who have no legal right to stay in the UK. Britain says, ‘This professional and cultural exchange program will work similar to the Youth Mobility Schemes. India will be the first such national visa country, which will benefit from it.
Illegal migrants will be tightened
The historic agreement will expedite the process under which illegal Indian migrants are deported. Apart from this, cooperation can be ensured in cases related to crime. One benefit of this will be for young professionals from India and Britain, they can live and work in each other’s country for two years. According to a report, in the year 2020 more than 53 thousand Indian students came to the UK for studies. These numbers have increased by 42 percent compared to 2019. In addition, nearly a quarter of all international students studying in the UK are from India.
