Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang said on Monday that his state has set a new record by administering more than 10.02 lakh anti-Covid-19 vaccines to children in the age group of 15 to 18 years in the country on the first day of Monday.
Sarang told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, “Madhya Pradesh has already administered 10,02,000 anti-COVID-19 vaccines till 9 pm on the first day, which is the highest in this age group in the country. ” “We are still compiling the final figures as the figures for four-five districts are yet to come and the final figure will definitely go up,” he said.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday morning launched the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign for adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years at the Government Subhash Higher Secondary School of Excellence, Bhopal at the state level, with a target of 48 in the entire state by January 20. Medical Education Minister Sarang, after inspecting the vaccination center at Vidya Vihar, Bhopal, said that immunization of adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years is being done at about 8,923 places in Madhya Pradesh. Sarang said about the vaccination campaign for adolescents in the age group of 15 to 18 years, “A target has been set to administer the first dose of vaccine to about 48 lakh adolescents across the state by January 20, which will definitely be accomplished.”
Meanwhile, after getting the COVID-19 vaccine, Asmit Bhargava, a class 10 student studying at Subhash School here, said, “I am happy to get the vaccine. Due to the lockdown last year, offline classes were not held in the school and examinations were also not held. This disappointed me. Now the corona virus will be controlled by getting the anti-COVID-19 vaccine. Offline classes will also be held and examinations will also be held.
Kartik Singh Thakur, a class XI student of Subhash School said, “I am feeling happy after getting the vaccine. Everyone should get an anti-coronavirus vaccine.” After getting the vaccine, Kumari Rachna Rajput, a class 11 student, said, “Now the corona will not spread and her studies will not be interrupted.
