- Remove encroachment from Isasani and Vagdhara in 15 days
- Illegal occupation of 126 hectares of Jharpi forest land
- encroachment on some land out of 45 hectares
Nagpur. On Friday, the Hingna Tehsildar had to face the reprimand of the High Court when the matter of not taking any action against the encroachment in Issani and Vagdhara for a long time came to light. A petition was filed in the High Court by Vishwanath Gupta regarding heavy encroachment on 126 hectares of Jharpi forest land in Vagdhara of Hingna tehsil and most of the 45 hectares in Issani. In the petition, a request was made to give orders to the administration to remove the encroachment.
After hearing the petition on Friday, Justice Sunil Shukre and Justice Anil Pansare ordered the Tehsildar to remove the encroachment from both the lands within 15 days. Along with this, action was also indicated against the Tehsildar for not removing the encroachment. On behalf of the petitioner CF Bhagwani, Assistant Public Prosecutor NS Rao on behalf of the Government and Acts on behalf of Pranyas. BA Kunte argued.
12 years ago the village panchayat passed the resolution
During the hearing, the court was told that the road from Rajivnagar to Issani in Hingna was also illegally occupied where various commercial activities were started. Despite the land being reserved for the Jharpi forest in the nearby hilly area, illegal construction has been done by encroachment by anti-social elements. As soon as the matter came to light, Issani Gram Panchayat passed a resolution to remove the encroachment in the assembly on 12 January 2010, after which on 19 January 2010, a letter was written to the Hingna Tehsildar demanding removal of the encroachment.
Surprisingly, for two years, the lice would not even crawl on the ears of the administration. With this, Issani Gram Panchayat again passed a resolution to remove the encroachment on 22 November 2012 and gave it to the Tehsildar. On January 17, 2013, the Tehsildar had ordered the Divisional Officer to remove the encroachment, but till now it has not been removed.
no concrete steps
It is worth mentioning that a petition had already been filed by knocking on the door of the High Court, after which the court had issued a notice to the government side. In the year 2013, despite being instructed to remove the encroachment, nothing was done.
Hingna Tehsildar filed a reply after 8 years on June 2021. The surprising thing is that there is no difference between that time and the present situation. Even now, the Tehsildar is only being informed about taking appropriate steps to check the encroachment.
The court said in the order that verbal assurance is being given by the Tehsildar, while no concrete action is being taken to remove the encroachment. Therefore, orders were given to the Tehsildar to remove the encroachment within 15 days and to present the report before the court.
