New Delhi: The market capitalization of seven of the top 10 Sensex companies increased by Rs 2,28,367.09 crore last week. Reliance Industries was the biggest gainer. Apart from this, market valuations of HDFC Bank, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Finance and State Bank of India (SBI) also rose.
The market capitalization of Reliance Industries rose by Rs 1,35,204.46 crore to Rs 16,62,776.63 crore and that of HDFC Bank rose by Rs 5,125.39 crore to Rs 8,43,528.19 crore in the week under review.
The market valuation of Infosys increased by Rs 9,988.16 crore to Rs 7,39,607.12 crore. The market position of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 28,817.13 crore to Rs 5,26,170.49 crore.

HDFC’s market capitalization increased by Rs 7,050.11 crore to Rs 5,08,612.95 crore and that of Bajaj Finance increased by Rs 22,993.93 crore to Rs 4,49,747.2 crore. SBI’s market position rose by Rs 19,187.91 crore to Rs 4,41,500.53 crore.
Contrary to this trend, the market valuation of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) declined by Rs 1,146.7 crore to Rs 13,45,178.53 crore and that of Hindustan Unilever at Rs 5,48,136.15 crore with a loss of Rs 2,396 crore in the week under review. Bharti Airtel’s market position declined by Rs 4,256.32 crore to Rs 3,90,263.46 crore.
Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Bajaj Finance, SBI and Bharti Airtel respectively. (agency)
