A workers member from the Henderson Ok-12 Inclusion School was hospitalized after being assaulted by a pupil Tuesday morning, the top of faculty stated in a letter to oldsters.
“This morning, a student engaged in a physical assault of a staff member which multiple students
witnessed,” Interim Head of School Stephanie Sibley started the letter. “The staff member sustained injuries as a result of the incident.”
Boston Police confirmed officers responded to a report of a disturbed particular person on the Dorchester faculty at 11:52 a.m., and a Boston EMS spokesperson stated they responded to the college “with no associated transports” Tuesday morning.
A BPS spokesperson stated the workers member was injured after trying to deescalate an altercation between two college students.
Both faculty workers and BPS security providers “quickly assisted with de-escalating the incident,” Sibley stated. The workers member was taken to the college nurse earlier than being transported to the hospital.
Sibley stated the scholar will face disciplinary motion “in accordance with the BPS Code of Conduct,” which states {that a} pupil could also be suspended for “assault and battery on any person.”
