West Bengal Assembly Elections 2021: Former Rajya Sabha MP and Trinamool Congress leader Dinesh Trivedi took BJP membership in New Delhi on February 6 today. BJP national president JP Nadda was also present on the occasion. Trivedi has joined the BJP at a time when the elections in West Bengal are over. Union Minister Piyush Goyal was also present in the reception ceremony of Dinesh Trivedi. Please tell that Trivedi resigned from the Rajya Sabha membership on 12 February last month due to the violence in West Bengal. He has targeted TMC over the violence.
After joining the BJP, Trivedi said that in some parties, family is the most important whereas in some parties, people are considered to be family and today they are joining the party with family of people. However, it is not yet clear whether he will contest the assembly elections or not. Trivedi said that he will be a part of the election process, whether he will fight from any seat or not.

Trivedi said that leaders in other parties serve a family and not the country. Trivedi said that he never gave up his ideology and the country will always be the first priority for him. Trivedi said that some of his friends are in the Air Force and they say that the neighbouring country (Pakistan) has started taking India seriously. Now the neighboring countries believe that India does what it says. The former Rajya Sabha MP said that Bengalis have been troubled by TMC’s corruption and violent activities and are happy with the new changes. Trivedi said that the journey of ‘Sonar Bungalow’ has started. Trivedi said that the people of Bengal have rejected TMC and now they want progress instead of corruption and violence. Bengal is ready for real change.

Elections in West Bengal will be held in eight phases
Assembly elections in West Bengal will be held in eight phases. Voting will be held on March 27 in the first phase, April 1 in the second phase, April 6 in the third phase, April 10 in the fourth phase, April 17 in the fifth phase, April 22 in the sixth phase, April 26 in the seventh phase and April 29 in the eighth phase. . Election results will be announced on 2 May.
Talking about the 2016 assembly elections, the Trinamool Congress government was formed in West Bengal under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee after winning the 294-seat West Bengal Assembly. Trinamool Congress got 209 seats, BJP 27, Congress 23 and CPI (M) 19 seats.
