A witness has described the “chaos” of the moments after a younger lady went lacking at a water park, with footage exhibiting panicked members of the general public calling out her title in a determined search.
An 11-year-old lady died after she obtained into problem within the water at Liquid Leisure in Windsor, Berkshire, on Saturday afternoon, the place she was attending a party.

She has criticised the park and said: “There was no emergency plan. They didn’t have any tannoy system or any alarm.”
She also questioned why people were not asked to leave sooner: “Everyone was standing round watching and it was not serving to. It was chaos.”
A ‘traumatic expertise’
Other clients have praised the lifeguards for his or her work.
Benzo Osei mentioned: “It was a very traumatic experience as we were so close to the course.
“It felt as if it may’ve occurred to me or my buddies. It was a real wake-up name and I do not suppose I will probably be returning.”
He added: “Once they realised the severity of the state of affairs the employees members dealt with it very effectively ensuring no person entered the assault course and protecting visitors in a closed-off space till it was evacuated.”
Gavin Springett, who worked at the park last summer putting in all the operation training and safety requirements, told Sky News earlier today: “No corners had been ever lower on security”.
He said there are extensive safety measures throughout the park including “lifeguards on a number of areas of the park, there will probably be one or two on the seashore, and one on each part of the inflatable programs”.
“They are additionally open water swimming skilled, and so they do employees coaching month-to-month on water rescue.”
“Buoyancy vests are obligatory on all inflatables even for adults,” he added, and “the entire park is roofed with CCTV.”
Police commend public
Local policing space commander for Windsor and Maidenhead, Superintendent Michael Greenwood of Thames Valley Police, mentioned: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of the girl who has died as a result of this tragic incident.

“There was a swift response from all emergency services and following an extensive search of the lake, the girl, who was 11, was located at around 5.10pm and taken to hospital but sadly died.
“This has been a particularly traumatic and upsetting incident for all concerned.
“I am aware that several members of the public entered the lake shortly after the girl got into difficultly, but were unable to locate her.
“I wish to commend them for his or her braveness and bravado.”
In a statement, Liquid Leisure said: “Our ideas and prayers are with the household, buddies and all these effected by this desperately tragic and upsetting incident.
“As Thames Valley Police are in the early stages of an investigation it would not be right for us to add further comment, but we will continue to fully support and assist them throughout the process.”
