Pune: In Bibwewadi, an incident of firing on a youth has come to light while creating a ruckus in the middle of Sunday night, but thankfully, the youth has narrowly escaped. Due to this incident, there was an atmosphere of tension in this campus throughout the night. There is a strong protest by the citizens regarding this incident. Controversy is constantly being seen in this complex between two gangs, whose loss is being suffered by the common people.
The people of the campus have increased their beating due to the incident of assault between two gangs by vandalizing the vehicles parked in the premises and creating panic. Amit Kailash Thopte (32) has filed a complaint in this matter. Based on this, a case has been registered at Bibwewadi police station under various sections including attempt to murder.

According to information received from the police, Amit Thopte has a salon shop in Dattawadi premises, while he lives in street number two of Shivshankar Society, Bibvewadi. On February 4, he had a dispute with these accused. Police say that firing has been done over the same dispute. The complainant and his brother and other four-five people were staying under the house. During this, a gang of 10 to 11 people reached there. In his hand were kootas and other sharp weapons. This gang started spreading panic in the campus. After this, coming towards the complainant, he said that I will finish you.

Meanwhile, one pulled out the pistol. This frightened the complainant. The accused opened fire. Two shots were fired at him, but thankfully, no bullets hit him. But with the sound of firing, the entire campus was horrified and there was chaos. After this the gang fled spreading panic. On getting information about the incident, Bibwewadi police reached the spot. Police say that the gang members had called the complainant to meet him at Katraj Chowk, but he did not go to meet him. Because of this, the gang members came and tried to kill by firing.
People upset due to fight between two gangs
In Bibvewadi, incidents of vandalism and creating panic have been happening continuously for the last several months. Gangs of 10 to 15 people vandalize vehicles by creating panic. Incidents are taking place due to the mutual rivalry between the two gangs and the common people have to bear the brunt of it. There is a lot of resentment among the citizens about this.
