Mumbai: In Govandi, angry with the businessman for not paying the extortion and complaining to the police, the local miscreants first attacked the businessman and his son with a sharp edged weapon and then fired about three rounds. Although no one was injured in the firing, both father and son were badly injured in the attack. Taking the matter seriously, the Deonar Police has arrested two miscreants and has prepared two teams of police to search for the four absconding miscreants.
Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Gaikwad of Deonar Police Station said that the police have arrested Chand Badshah Sheikh (22) and Mohammad Rubab Sayyed (23) in this case, while the main accused in this case Shahbaz Rubab Sayed alias Saddam and his accomplice Jaggu. Alias Shayari Alam Abdul Ghani Sheikh, Mani Quresh and Saddam’s boy are absconding. All the accused live in Govandi’s doctor Jhakir Hussain Nagar area.

According to the police, the complainant student Saif Yunus Khan (19) was sitting at his father’s shop when Saddam and his accomplices had come to the shop asking for extortion and on refusing, they attacked Saif and his father with a sword. Which was captured in the CCTV camera installed in the shop. Yunus Khan had complained about this to Deonar police station and the police also arrested Saddam and one of his associates. But after getting bail from the court, on the evening of January 5, Saddam fired three rounds in the air in front of the shop to create panic in the area and complain to the police. Senior police inspector Savlaram Agwane of Deonar police station said that the police is looking for the absconding accused and soon the four will be arrested and investigation will be done to find out from where and for what purpose the revolver was brought.
