Amravati. It is the responsibility of the Fire Department of Municipal Corporation to provide security to more than 8 and a half lakh population of the city and the surrounding areas in case of any unexpected, untoward incident. But recently, in a report of the State Disaster Management Department, reprimanding the Amravati Municipality, it has been said that the capabilities of the fire department of the Municipal Corporation are not of the municipal level. The preparedness of the fire brigade is inadequate to deal with any major incident. This situation is when, in the last three years, the Municipal Corporation is continuously claiming to modernize the fire department.
Instructions to improve systems
It has been said by the Disaster Management Department of Maharashtra Government that there should be at least 18 big fire engines to control incidents like fire in such a large area. Whereas 12 small vehicles are required to work in narrow areas. But the worrying situation is that the total number of vehicles, both big and small, with the Municipal Corporation is only 6.
Describing this system as inefficient, it has been said from the department that you will have to improve the arrangements soon. Apart from this, the number of quick response vehicles with the Municipal Corporation has also been said to be very less according to the capacity of the city.
insufficient resources
There are two fire bullet equipment available with the Municipal Corporation, which is completely insufficient. This question has also been asked by the Disaster Management Department to the fire department that you yourself should tell how the situation can be controlled in big cities with such low capabilities. Now permission has been given for an 11-storey building in the city.
Govinda Group has also registered its name for setting up the first 11 storey building of the city near Super Express Highway in Dastur Nagar area. His second 11-storey apartment is taking shape on Rahatgaon Road. Now the fire brigade has a ladder or any other arrangement to reach the 11th storey, this question has also started to arise.
i don’t know
