Morshi. With the concept of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, highway works are being done across the country. In which the Nandgaon Peth Pandhurna highway was built with a fund of Rs 530 crore, but due to the negligence of the contractor and the officials of the concerned National Works Department, the roads are getting cracked due to the poor quality of the highway work. After investigating this shoddy work, taking action against the contractor and the guilty officials, a demand was made to the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to uproot the panel of cracks on the highway and make it ready again. Taking cognizance of which the road repair work has been started.

This 96 kilometer cement road from Nandgaon Peth to Pandhurna in Amravati district has seen cracks at many places in one and a half to two years. Question marks are being created on behalf of the drivers and citizens of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The construction work of the highway has become useless due to cracks in hundreds of panels on the national highway. This national highway has two phases. The first phase from Nandgaon Peth to Morshi is 43 km long, for which the government has spent Rs 240 crore. In the second phase, Rs 290 crore was spent for the work of 53 km length from Morshi to Pandhurna. Despite this, crores of rupees have been spent. Despite crores of rupees being spent for the work done in both the phases, the road has deteriorated due to cracks. The National Highway Construction Department and the concerned contractor took intervention of the serious problem and immediately after the cracks on the highway, the work of National Highway would be done by uprooting the panels and preparing new panels of good quality.
