Durgapur (No) Forest Department has got success in apprehending the attacking leopard that killed people while creating terror in Durgapur premises. This attacking leopard was imprisoned on Friday night in a cage set up at Sinala Mod near Shaktinagar Wakoli Colony.
In view of the continuous attacks on people by the leopard, the forest department had put up cages at different places in the Durgapur Wakoli premises to catch the leopard. Of these, the leopard was seen imprisoned in the cage set up on the Sinala mode in the early hours of Saturday. As soon as this information was received, Divisional Officer of Chandrapur Forest Department Prashant Khade, Forest Range Officer Rahul Karekar, Member of State Wildlife Board Bandu Dhotre visited the spot and inspected. He immediately took that leopard to the first aid center located on the original road. Further decision will be taken after investigation by the veterinary officers, such information has been given by the Forest Department.
