Jain further said that now genome sequencing of samples of all infected is not possible, genome sequencing of only 300 to 400 samples is being done. Jain further informed that the Delhi government has prepared a ‘Covid War Room’, which will prepare district and hospital-wise details about the availability of beds, patients, oxygen etc. There are about 15,000 active cases in Delhi at present and only 14 patients are on ventilator. In response to a question, the minister said that when the same number of active cases were reported in the city last time, 20 times more patients were on ventilator support.

The minister said that the test of COVID-19 has been increased and about 90,000 tests have been done on Tuesday.
