Covid Updates: Corona cases across the country are once again growing rapidly, many states have implemented measures such as lockdown or night curfew at the local level. In this series, some restructures have been implemented in the national capital, Delhi, which will remain effective till the end of this month i.e. 30 April. All social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious mobilization in the capital has been banned under this order passed by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). Restaurants and bars etc. have been approved to continue their activities with some restrictions. Apart from this, the maximum limit has been fixed for funeral and marriage. For activities that have got limited approval, it is not mandatory to get permission from any authority. According to the data released by the Health Ministry on Friday 10 April in the capital Delhi, 7897 new cases of corona were reported in the last 24 hours. Night curfew will be imposed in Delhi from 10 pm to 6 am till 30 April.

There will be a restriction on these activities
- All schools, educational / training / coaching institutes etc. will remain closed. Online and distance education has been allowed and will be encouraged. However, students from class nine to 12th will get the approval to call the school, following the parents’ consent and guidelines issued by the Directorate of Education, GNCTD, regarding COVID so that they can be guided for exam and project work etc.
- All social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious mobilization has been banned in the capital.
- All swimming pools will remain closed, but the training of players participating in national and international sports will be approved to go to the swimming pool.
These activities are allowed without authority approval
- Approval of maximum 20 people to attend funeral
- Approval for maximum 50 people to be involved in marriage.
- Restaurants and bars allow up to 50% seating capacity.
- Delhi Metro will run on the tracks with a 50 percent seating capacity.
- A maximum of 50 per cent passengers will be able to travel in all DTC and cluster buses running in the capital. Apart from this, passengers will be able to board the bus from the front door and de-boarding will be approved from the previous door.
Cinema / Theaters / Multiplexes will be approved to open with 50% capacity. - Office / Autonomous Bodies / PSUs / Corporations / Local Bodies under Delhi Government will be able to work with 100% capacity of officers of Grade-1 or similar or above. In the remaining staff, 50 percent will work from home and 50 percent from offices.
- Private offices / organizations will do office timings in such a way that at least people are present in the office at a time. However, work from home is being encouraged to be encouraged.
Approval of only essential services in Containment Zones
- Air travelers coming from Maharashtra to Delhi will be required to submit RT-PCR negative test report within 72 hours. Passengers who do not have a negative report will have to be quarantined for 14 days. However, this provision will give exemption to all constitutional and government officials and their staff members, if they do not show any signs of corona.
- Only necessary activities will be allowed in the Containment Zones.
- There will be no restriction on any type of movement within Delhi or from other states in Delhi.
