Covid News Updates: The second wave of corona in India proved to be very dangerous and more than 4 lakh daily cases started coming. However, after some time there was a decline in daily cases and this decline continues. Talking about the last 24 hours, 1.34 lakh new cases of corona infection were reported in a day. Apart from this, active cases have also come down to 17,13,413 i.e. 54.25 percent active cases have decreased in active cases in the last 24 days. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the positivity rate was less than 10 percent for the tenth consecutive day and the positivity rate of corona infection was 6.21 percent in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, if we talk about the weekly positivity rate, then it has come down to 7.66 percent.

54.25 percent active cases reduced in 24 days
Corona infected are recovering fast across the country. In the last 24 days, active cases have come down from 37.45 lakhs to 17.13 lakhs i.e. 54.25 percent cases have come down. As on 10 May 2021, there were 37,45,237 active cases in the country which have now come down to 17,13,413. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, so far 2,63,90,584 cases of corona have been reported across the country, out of which 92.79 percent people have been cured. However, about 1.19% i.e. 3,37,989 people have died due to this virus so far.
22.10 crore doses taken so far under vaccination
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, so far 22.10 crore doses have been administered to people across the country under the vaccination drive issued since January 16. Under the vaccination drive, any person above the age of 18 years can book a slot and get a dose of the vaccine. However, according to the instructions of the government, the vaccine should be vaccinated only after 3 months after the symptoms of corona are completely over.
