After the end of the Question Hour, Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria said that the Speaker of the Assembly got the issue discussed on Monday but the state government did not give any precise answer on the issues raised by the opposition. Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod said that the state government should clarify its intention to get a CBI probe into the matter. After this, Kataria along with the MLAs of his party announced a walkout from the house. He said that he kept fighting on this issue. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal got up to respond on behalf of the state government and asked the BJP to “not leave the house and hear their reply”. He alleged that the BJP wants to stop the recruitment being done by the state government, so it is doing all this exercise.
It is noteworthy that BJP is demanding a CBI inquiry in the paper leak case. The opposition has been creating a ruckus on this demand since the budget session began on Wednesday last week. Dhariwal has already made it clear in the House that the state government has no intention of handing over the matter to the CBI. The Special Force of Police (SOG) is investigating the matter.
