How to register
If you are 18 years or older on 1 May 2021, then you will need to register for corona vaccination. Registration can be done through Kovin, Arogya Setu App. Along with this, onsite registration i.e. registration of hospitals and vaccination centers will also be facilitated. For registration you will need a valid identity card which includes Aadhaar Card, DL, Passport, Voter ID Card.
What is the process
For this, eligible people will be able to register on the Co-Win portal through their mobile number. First use the co-win application or log on to www.cowin.gov.in. Then enter your mobile number. OTP will be provided to create your account. Enter OTP and click on ‘Verify’ button. After this, you will be redirected to the page related to registration of vaccination. Here you have to choose photo ID proof. Along with this, give information about your name, age, gender and upload ID proof. After entering the information for registration, click on the ‘Register’ button.
50% supply to central government
As part of the third phase of the vaccination campaign starting next month, the vaccine manufacturers will supply 50 per cent of the doses released from their central drug laboratories (CDL) to the central government and the remaining 50 per cent will be sold to the state governments and in the open market. Vaccination will continue for those above 45 years of age
