Thiruvananthapuram. Coronavirus has wreaked havoc in Kerala. Corona cases are continuously increasing in the state. Due to which the state government has got worried. In the last 24 hours, 54,537 cases of corona have been reported in the state, while 339 patients died. Here today the positivity rate was recorded at 47.05 percent. This information was given by the Health Department of Kerala on Friday.
According to the data released by the Health Department, the highest number of 10,571 cases in the state have been reported in Ernakulam district. This is followed by Thiruvananthapuram 6735, Thrissur 6082, Kozhikode 4935, Kottayam 4182, Kollam 4138, Palakkad 3248, Malappuram 3003, Idukki 2485, Alappuzha 2323, Kannur 2314, Pathanamthitta 2021, Wayanad 1379 and Kasaragod 1121.

Of the new patients, 530 are health workers, while 227 are from outside the state. At the same time, 50,295 have been infected by coming in contact. However, the source of 3,485 could not be traced.
It is noteworthy that 13 deaths have been recorded in the state on Friday. Apart from this, 81 deaths due to paucity of documents and 258 deaths were added to the Covid death list as per the guidelines of the Centre. With this, the death toll in the state rose to 52,786.
At the same time, the good thing is that in the last 24 hours, 30,225 people have recovered from this dangerous disease in the state. Due to which the number of people recovering in the state increased to 54,94,185. At present, 3,33,447 corona patients are undergoing treatment in the state.

According to the Health Department, Thiruvananthapuram has the highest number of 6,921 people recovered from Corona. After this, 83 people have become corona free in Kollam 581, Pathanamthitta 770, Alappuzha 1907, Kottayam 3290, Idukki 853, Ernakulam 450, Thrissur 4033, Palakkad 2258, Malappuram 2120, Kozhikode 4135, Wayanad 799, Kannur 2015 and Kasaragod.
A total of 1,15,898 samples were tested for corona in the last 24 hours in the state. At present, 4,83,824 people are under observation in the state. Out of this, 4,72,126 are in home/institutional quarantine. While 11,698 people are in hospitals.
