Nagpur. Corona has once again gained momentum. While more than 1,400 infected were found in the district on Wednesday, the figure reached 2,086 with an increase of 500 on Thursday. The sudden increase in the number of infected has also stirred the administration. The good thing is that even now the number of people admitted to hospitals is less. More than 70 patients are not admitted in private hospitals including Medical, Mayo and Esm. Meanwhile, one patient died. With this, so far 3 patients have died in the third wave.
The situation regarding Corona is getting worse every day. On Wednesday, more than 1,400 were infected. Such an increase was recorded 8 months ago, but on Thursday the figure increased further. This has increased the concern of the administration. Along with this, people have also got a warning to be alert. Even after this, if carelessness is taken, then the situation can get out of control. Meanwhile, a total of 13,693 people were investigated in the district within 24 hours. Out of the total infected, 1,589 are in the city, 434 in rural and 63 from outside districts. At the same time one patient also died. At present, there are 7,303 active cases in the district. A total of 470 infected negatives came on Thursday.
Collector gave instructions to be strict in emergency meeting
After increasing the number of infected, District Magistrate R. Vimala called an emergency meeting of the Objection Management Authority in the evening. In this, the police were instructed to take punitive action against those who roam without masks in public places. The meeting was attended by Yogesh Kumbhejkar, Chief Executive Officer of JIP, Sarang Awhad, Deputy Commissioner, Traffic Department, Additional Superintendent of Police Rahul Makanikar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Lokhande, Resident Deputy District Magistrate Vijaya Banar, District Health Officer Deepak Sailokar, Mayo’s Dean BD Sonawane, Dr. Sagar Pandey. All top officials including District Objection Management Officer Ankush Gawande were present.
The District Magistrate clarified that if the number of infected continues to increase in this way, then once again strict restrictions will be imposed. Instructed for strict punitive action against those who roam without masks in the markets. Officers and other employees working in Mayo, Medical and other medical departments were asked to apply face shield with 2 masks.
