Mumbai. The cases of Coronavirus infection are increasing in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, 48,270 new cases of corona have been reported in the state. While 52 infected have died. With this, the total number of infected has increased to 74,20,027 and the death toll has increased to 1,42,023. At the same time, Omicron virus has been confirmed in 144 people in the state today. This information was given by the Health Department of Maharashtra on Friday.
According to the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, 52,025 people have recovered and the number of people recovering has reached 69,67,432. At present, there are a total of 2,64,388 active patients in the state and all are undergoing treatment. At present, 23,87,593 people are in home quarantine and 3,357 in institutional quarantine in the state. The recovery rate in the state today is 94.47% and the death rate at 1.91%.

Omicron patients steadily increasing
According to the Health Department, 144 new Omicron patients have been found in Maharashtra in the last 24 hours. Out of these, reports of 80 patients have been received from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research and 64 patients from BJ Medical College. Out of the new patients, 124 patients have been found in Pune alone. After this 8 patients have been found in Solpur, 6 in Pune Rural. Apart from this, 1-1 patients have come up in Parbhani, Jalgaon, Mumbai, Raigad, Satara and Beed. After the new patients of Omicron in the state, the number of infected has increased to 2,343, out of which 1,171 people have been cured so far.
