Mumbai: The Maha Vikas Aghadi government has refused to reduce the rate of VAT on petrol and diesel. Due to which the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis has targeted the Congress. He has said that those taking out a cycle rally against the central government on the increase in the price of diesel and petrol are now silent. Fadnavis has urged the Congress to open a front against his own government and said that he will start the agitation after the assembly session is over.
Leader of Opposition Fadnavis said during a conversation with reporters that the Aghadi government has categorically refused to reduce the price of petrol and diesel. While the ruling constituents had been holding cycle rallies against the central government for a long time. I hope they will now take out a cycle rally against their own government. The reason for this is also that the central government has reduced the price of diesel-petrol by cutting taxes. 25 state governments of the country have also cut VAT. But the progressive government of Maharashtra is not ready to lose a new penny. Thus the Congress movement against the central government was wrong.
In a system of power, the only way out is through discussion.
The ST staff was disappointed,
However, the Maharashtra government refused to reduce petrol and diesel prices even after 25 states reduced the rates.#Mumbai pic.twitter.com/ufKzzgEoLI— Devendra Fadnavis (@Dev_Fadnavis) December 25, 2021
