Due to the elections to be held in the background of Corona, the Election Commission has imposed many restrictions by declaring a special notice. In such a situation, this time the municipal elections will be held peacefully. In such a situation, the upcoming election is going to prove to be a big challenge for the political parties.

According to the administration, many types of obstacles have been imposed for everyone, be it the wedding ceremony or the movement. Now the Nashik Municipal Corporation elections have also come to the fore. On the other hand, there is a discussion about the third wave of Corona catching up. Against this background, the State Election Commission has recently issued guidelines for elections. Accordingly, the next elections will be held. Only those who have taken both the doses of corona vaccination or who have been tested for RTPCR within 48 hours and have not been affected will be allowed to enter the counting centre. Not only this, election campaign, public meeting is also limited to the presence of maximum 50 people. In such a situation, the upcoming election is going to prove to be a big challenge for the political parties.

The general elections to the Nashik Municipal Corporation and other municipal corporations will be held in 2022, but in which month it has not been decided. This election is affected by the third wave of Corona. The State Election Commission has issued guidelines for the upcoming local body elections in view of the increasing number of patients and restrictions imposed by the government. Accordingly, these instructions have been issued to all the persons participating in the entire election process except the voters as well as those involved in the election. All such persons will be required to wear face masks at each stage of the election. Along with this, the compulsion of social distance will have to be followed. All officers and servants appointed for election must have completed both doses of vaccination. The second vaccine is necessary before the election. Only polling agents taking both the doses will be allowed to enter the polling booths.
Only persons taking both the doses within 48 hours will be allowed to enter the polling stations.
The Election Commission has directed that only persons who have taken both the dose or RTPCR test, antigen test and unaffected persons within 48 hours will be allowed to enter the polling stations and counting centres. It will be mandatory for all persons to check their temperature, i.e. thermal scan and sanitize while entering the polling booth. Directions have been given to Municipal Commissioner, District Collector to appoint a nodal officer to oversee the implementation of preventive measures. Corona affected voters or whose body temperature is found above the prescribed norms even after two tests, will be allowed to cast their vote one hour before the close of polling.
