Nagpur. Just as the condition of schools was due to Corona last year, the same situation remains this time also. Board classes were held in the city for about a month throughout the year. At the same time, the school would have run for about 2 months in the district. This school also ran with 50 percent capacity. Online classes are going on as usual. That is, the situation is not satisfactory. Despite this, the government has decided to take the board exams offline from March 4. Now the demand has started rising that in view of the situation of Corona, the date of examination should be extended. Along with this, giving ‘where the school there center’ will also be considered. Offline classes could not be held regularly in the current academic session.
In view of social distancing, the government opened the school with 50 percent capacity, but not all the children could attend. In January, there was a Sarao examination in the month, in which the students were made to prepare for the board examination, but this time the Sarao examination could not be conducted. The administration banned coaching-tuition for several days, due to which the students took online classes only. That is, overall the situation is the same as last year, despite this, since March, many questions have started arising in the minds of students, parents and teachers regarding the board’s offline.
Where the school considers the center
In Vidarbha, schools have still not opened in many districts. In urban parts only about 70 percent students are joining online studies, while in rural parts only about 40-50 percent students have been able to study board. Taking offline exams in this condition can be harmful for the students. In view of the increasing infection of Corona, in the past, there was a demand by the teacher organizations to take the exam on the pattern of ‘where the school there center’. It is said that this issue has also been discussed in the cabinet of the state government. If the cases of corona are not reduced, then the examination can be taken by the government on the basis of ‘where school there center’ pattern.
By increasing the time period, students will get a chance
It is being demanded by the parents that the time period of the examination should be extended by about 1 month. With this, students will get an opportunity to study, as well as if the school opens when the corona is less, then there will also be a chance to take the Sarao exam. This will also allow students to practice for the exam. The biggest concern is for the students and parents of the board. Even now the cases of corona have not reduced. At the same time, many children have also suffered from corona. If there is a hindrance of corona during the examination period, then the future of the students can be ruined.
The government should take decisions keeping in mind the future of the students and their interests. In this session too, offline classes have not been held for a long time. Not all students could attend online regularly. In this situation, offline examination can increase the troubles of the students. It may be convenient for the students if the idea of extending the time duration of the examination and ‘where the school is at the centre’ is considered.

There should be no loss to the students of the board, in this direction the government including the education department will have to take a decision after paying serious attention. The decision of the examination in March was right when offline classes were going on. But due to Corona, regular classes could be run for about a month throughout the year. In this situation, by increasing the date of examinations, students will get time to prepare. Because of online, all the students could not get equal education.
