Mumbai: The Kurar Police has arrested the Zomato Delivery Boy who fled after stealing the goods of a delivery boy of a company named Shadow Fax. Kurar police arrested the accused from Ekta Nagar with the help of tattoo made on his hand. Similar to the theft which took place in the limits of other police station has also been confiscated from him. Police investigation has revealed that Zomato’s delivery boy is accused of murder. He has come out on parole in the lockdown after spending eight years in jail in Nagpur Jail. The Kurar police is also talking about questioning the manager of the Zomato company.
On March 25, the delivery boy of Shadow Fax Company had come to deliver some household items at Raheja Complex in the limits of Darsal Kurar police station. He was accompanied by delivery goods from other places, which he kept on a bike outside the gate of the complex and went inside. At the same time, the delivery boy of Zomato company Manish Gaur (30) also came there. Manish escaped after stealing the goods of the Shadow Fax Company kept on the bike.

Police checked CCTV footage
Following the complaint of theft at Kurar police station, Detection Officer PSI Satish Bhalerao and his team under the guidance of Senior PI Satish Gadwe scanned the CCTV footage around the complex, but could not identify Manish. Meanwhile, a police team examined the footage in Thakur Village and it was found that the accused had gone to deliver at Manish Society where the entry registration was done at the gate.
Tattooed accused’s identity
When the police checked the footage of that society, the accused Manish was identified by the tattoo made on his hand. On this basis, the police arrested Manish. Police investigation revealed that accused Manish is accused of killing a person in Ganesh Nagar. He was in Nagpur jail for 8 years for murder. Came out on parole during the lockdown in the Corona period. After his release from jail, Manish started working as a delivery boy in the Zomato company. According to the order of Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey, police verification of delivery boys of all online shopping companies is necessary.
