Badnera. Badnera, a sub-town of Amravati Municipal Corporation, has remained no less than a backward village in terms of development. Neither is there any means of employment left in Badnera city nor is there any trace of development far and wide. So far, the residents of Badnera, who have been dreaming only in the bailout of assurances, are acutely anguished about the step-motherly treatment in development works as compared to Amaravati.
New colonies deprived of road drains
There are no roads and drains in dozens of new colonies settled in Nai Basti and Junibasti. Deprived of basic service facilities. Where clock trains have been installed in all the divisions of Amravati Municipal Corporation for door-to-door collection of garbage. At the same time, in Badnera, the clock train is not even visible. Due to which the residents of Badnera have started raising questions whether Badnera does not come under the area of Municipal Corporation.
not even a garden
There is not even a garden in Naibasti and Junibasti with a population of more than 1 lakh. Whereas the Municipal Corporation makes a budgetary provision of lakhs of rupees every year for the maintenance of the gardens. It is not that there is a lack of space for public gardens in Junibasti and Naibasti, but due to the faith of local public representatives, the residents of Badnera are forced to go to Amravati city to take their children to the garden. The elders also express their anger from time to time for not having a park for a walk.
longing for a different industry
A huge space of about 14 thousand square feet adjacent to Badnera railway station and highway, where there used to be a victory mill, is lying vacant today. There is a yearning for the industry, but as per the promise made at the time of election, till date no readymade park or garment zone has come. Due to which Badnera city, which is sinking in the ditch of unemployment, has now got hope from the railway wagon factory itself, but there is an atmosphere of despair due to its work not being started yet. Had there not been a railway station, today the name of Badnera would also have disappeared.
